2. Cannot connect to remote

LAN Mode:

  • Ensure phone and computer are on same WiFi network

  • Some corporate networks block peer-to-peer communication - contact IT
  • Try disabling VPN on computer or phone

Global Mode:

  • Check internet connection on both devices
  • Verify session code is correct (case-sensitive)
  • Wait 10-15 seconds - server connection may take a moment
  • Check if firewall blocks port 443 (HTTPS)

3. Lag or delays

  • WiFi signal strength: Move closer to router or use 5GHz network (faster than 2.4GHz)
  • Close unnecessary apps: Especially those using internet/network
  • Reduce slide preview quality: In PresentClic settings โ†’ Quality: Medium or Low
  • Check network load: Other devices may consume bandwidth (streaming, downloads)
  • LAN instead of Global: LAN has lower latency (no intermediate servers)

4. Google Slides extension issues

  • Refresh page: Ctrl+R (Windows) or Cmd+R (Mac) in browser
  • Reinstall extension:
    1. Remove extension from browser
    2. Restart browser
    3. Reinstall from extensions folder
  • Check PresentClic Desktop is running: Extension requires running app
  • Port 3001: Ensure nothing blocks port 3001 (used by extension)

5. vMix not connecting (Windows only)

  • Check vMix is running: Launch vMix before PresentClic
  • Verify IP address:
    • Same computer: localhost:8088 or 127.0.0.1:8088
    • Different computer: {computer_IP}:8088 (e.g., 192.168.1.50:8088)
  • Test vMix API manually:
    Open in browser: http://localhost:8088/api
You should see XML response with vMix information
  • Enable Web Controller in vMix:
vMix Settings โ†’ Web Controller โ†’ Enable
